What do you love about the language(s) you are learning?

Turkey is a little bit different than the US. Yeah, I am living on the Asian part of Istanbul but the university is located on the European part. It’s really interesting.

If you visit Istanbul someday, you should visit me. Seriously.

That is amazing. So you can tell out of country people who don’t know the geographical situation with Turkey that you live in Asia but go to school in Europe.

If I ever go to Istanbul, I will certainly visit you.

Also, some interesting language differences between standard English and how people talk in Texas (u may already know)

Standard English vs Texan

Y’all = you all/you guys

Fixin to (do something) = going to (do something)

Also when talking to your elders you should always say “yes/ ma’am” if it is a woman you are talking to or “yes/no sir” if it is a man you are talking to. Normally you could just say “yes” or “no” when talking to your elders but a lot of older or more conservative Texans might find it disrespectful. This rule is more for kids and teenagers (like me)
