The audio will not play for some of my lessons

Have you tried closing then re-opening the app by double clicking the home button and tapping the app icon while it is showing the minus sign? If you’re still having trouble after this, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the app.

With Firefox 21.0 I can only listen the audio of the lessons I have imported. For the rest I can’t hear anything (the player seems not to be working, it doesn’t move). Is there a limit in the audio listening for free accounts?

@josemaria92000 - We should have a fix for this issue very soon. In the meantime, you should be able to use Chrome to listen to all of the audio files.

LingQ has become unusable for me. (Firefox 21.0 and Windows 8) I wouldn’t have made the connection with Firefox 21.0 until I read the pmilone’s post. Then I thought back and remembered that there had been an upgrade to Firefox about the time my problems started. To start out with there were some lessons in which the audio wouldn’t play. (Some were new and some were old.)

Then I decided to clear the cache. Now everything is haywire! Basically the only thing I can do is read the forum. “Buttons” don’t work. No lessons appear on the timeline. Can’t access the library pages at all.

I can access a lesson by clicking on a link here in the forum. But there is no audio. In fact nothing shows up on the right side of the page at all. If I hover over a blue word, nothing happens.

So I’ve downloaded Chrome, and it looks like I’m back in business…I posted at the same time as you, Alex, so I didn’t see your post.

@Jingle - No problem, thanks for the heads up about these other issues. We have an update coming soon, so please let us know if you still experience these same issues in Firefox after the update has been pushed.

It seems that when FireFox updated itself to 21.0 something must have happened to the flashplayer plug in.

Although I was running the latest version of Flashplayer, I reinstalled it and the audio problems with FireFox 21.0 dissapeared.

@all - Just a heads up that we have begun to roll out a fix for this issue. It requires us to make a change to all of the audio files in the system, so it may take some time but rest assured that the audio files for these lessons will gradually begin working again. Thanks for your patience and for all your feedback as we worked to resolve this issue.
