The audio will not play for some of my lessons

I did a system restore (windows 7 professional)

I’m not sure if it was a problem with the registry or my Norton Antivirus because after the restore Norton detected an error and reconfigured itself.

Weird! Is mercury in retrograde? :wink:

The problem is with Firefox 21.0!

As I said above everything was working fine after the system restore until Firefox updated itself to 21.0. Now the lesson audio won’t play for some of the lessons again.

What is weird is that the update appears to have affected Explorer also.

P.S. Flash-player is up to date!

@pmilone - Good news :slight_smile: It may have been an issue with Norton, but we can’t be sure now. If it happens again maybe try temporarily disabling Norton and seeing if that works.

@pmilone - Hmm, I tried this with Firefox 21 and Internet Explorer on Windows 7 and didn’t have any problems playing the audio, so it definitely seems to be something specific to your computer or your network. Did you try disabling your antivirus software to see if that temporarily fixed it?

Disabling Norton 360 did not fix FireFox 21 on my Windows 7 Professional.

All I can say is 20.0.1 works fine so I am sticking with that.

hello. I can’t listen my lessons on my tablet. the batton -play- doesn’t work -Chrom. when I use F/f audio works , but I have too many problems with link. This problem exists last week. l don’t understand why I have problem only with this site. and I had never have the problems with the old sistem. I’m here becouse l use this site for reading and I have started to look for new site . it is a pity,becouse I like this site,but I am really tired from the constant problems.

@Alenika - That seems very strange. What kind of tablet are you using? I assume you are listening in your browser. Have you also tried on the iLingQ app? Any more details you can provide us will be helpful. We had some slowness last weekend because of a networking error at our hosting provider but the site has been running well all week.

IFor me it is not strange. I don/t know what does it mean - tried on the iLingQ app-. I can/t explain enough well in English and I don/t know anything about computer. I read comments and usually i see that if you have not such problem it means that it is my problem(with tablet,bank, brousers or something else). I hope this site will work better as soon as possible (in this year).

Проблемы с планшетом возникли несколько дней назад. На Хроме- не работает звук , на кнопку жму- результат - 0. Не сворачивается правое окно. Невозможно залинковать слова. До этого всё работало. На этом же планшете через Firefox звук работает нормально, можно линковать слова, но это очень долго. За 5 минут я смогла залинковать только 3 слова. Мне надоело и я бросила это дело… Но стационарном компьютере и на ноутбуке этой проблемы нет. Очень долго грузятся уроки, долго переключаются окна, но с этим я уже смирилась. До возникновения проблем с планшетом, на нем скорость была несколько быстрее.

@Polk00 к моей проблеме эта программа не имеет никакого отношения.
@Alex через Firefox сейчас и звук есть и можно создавать новые линки. Через Chrome - тоже проблемы исчезли.И скорость стала нормальной. Спасибо всем.

I have upgraded in order to use the Ilingq-app on my phone and listen to files, but I can’t use it cause whenever I try to listen to my files I always get an error message saying that the connection was disconnected (even if that is not the case and anyways I should be able to listen offline as well right?).

@NanaBettina - You can listen offline on the app but you must first download the audio and lesson while you are online. Only lessons that have been downloaded and opened in the app while online will work offline. Please let us know if you still have problems. This should all be working fine.

My problem is that WHILE I AM ONLINE, I cannot open anything cause I get the message “connection disconnected” .Please help… thanks!
