Ok so we are now in week two since it was “fixed” (7 weeks total) but there is still no change no clarification? It’s starting to get insulting at this point.
@TomErikSmith We will keep hyphenated words split. This change will be reverted back in the coming days. I am sorry it’s taking a bit long, but we will push an update soon.
I really do appreciate that this has been or is being fixed, and that it will be reverted back, I really do, but you also have to understand that at this point the words “in the coming days” and “soon” are unfortunately virtually meaningless to me, as this has been the message for nearing 2 months now. I ironically in this case simply do not know what these words mean anymore.
I’ve noticed certain improvements over the last few days. Some hyphenated words indeed appear separated now, but this means that not all of them. The slow transition process seems to cause some bugs as well, so I hope that you can push the update through this week.

As an update from the user end: I see a lot of hyphenated blue words disappearing, that’s good. However the problem remains and random hyphenated words resist getting separated. This transition process produces various mistakes that also affect the unaware user who is not following the discussion on the forum.
@JulianiTOgo This is gradually getting sorted out and should be all completely fixed soon.
I haven’t noticed any improvements over the last two weeks. Could you give an update here, please?
@JulianiTOgo Can you please post a few lesson URLs with examples of the hyphenated words issue so we can get to the bottom of this and have it solved? Thanks and thanks for your patience.
Can you please tell me what happened here? Instead of solving the problem, words that already started getting split, appear as blue hyphen words again. For the lessons I provided it seems like you made it worse instead of improving anything.

Thank you for increasing the new words figure on my lessons by 10-20% with these complete useless hyphen words. This will take me a lot of time and attention in the future, because each time you have to figure out:
- what it means (dictionary entries are very rare)
- What a particular word of the hyphen cluster means
- If it is actually a word
- If you want to ignore the word
- If you want to save the word and then which definition and/or translation do you use.
For advanced users the hyphen issue is a nightmare…
It seems like this is finally fixed, even before the move to the new reader. Thank you very much to the dev team!
