Hi Mark, The number of words seems not to change. The number of known English words is 9997 on my badge since weeks but it is 10247. It happens on my profile site here at LingQ, and on Facebook.
I usually look at the stats to the left of the profile. My numbers are off, but I don’t care at this point.
Congrats on 10,000 plus words. That says a lot.
@Vera - Why do you always have things like this that only happen to you? 
My badge total and total on my Profile page are slightly off but they both increase whenever I add more Known Words. You computer may be haunted… I will try and find out what could possibly be causing the problem.

Maybe I’m a power user testing the frontiers of LingQ?
There is something really strange. It’s not only on my computer wrong and with IE7. It’s wrong on 3 different computers and with FF too.
What really strange is that now the number that is shown in the badge raises up to 10 030 and my friends got the message that I have now more than 10 000 known words. But if you look on my profile you see on the left part of the site that the number is 10279. The number on the badge does not fit the number that is shown on my profile. Isn’t that weird?
On Facebook, the Badge and the hyperlink to LingQ only seem to appear when I click on the Profile HTML tab in the menu bar of my profile page. Is that normal? I would rather have the Badge appear somewhere on the Profile Wall or Info page instead, where I think it would be more likely to be seen and acted upon by visitors and Friends to my page. Am I missing something in the procedure here?
Also, my Badge seems to be stuck at the same number on FB (583), whereas on the LingQ site it shows 598, and seems to grow with added words. How do you get the badge data to refresh on FB? Do you have to completely log out or something? Will a visitor to my page see a different number that perhaps I am seeing on my own computer?? Just curious. Thanks
Those are all good questions Banjolover and I’m not sure of the answers. If anyone else out there has an idea of how to get the badges to appear on the Wall page rather than the profile page, please share with us. I also don’t know why the badges on FB seem to be a little behind. They seem to refresh periodically but they aren’t quite up to date for some reason. It isn’t the fault of the badges either since they are up to date in other locations. Must be some kind of caching in FB.
Actually, it is on my Wall as well as my Profile. I can’t get it on my Home page but I’m not sure that’s possible.
Are there some updates on how to post the badges to facebook? I can’t seem to make it work. I have used the October 21 directions from Mark. I think I am following all the steps, but nothing happens. Should I do something after I post the code into the profile box area? It shows in preview, but I can’t see it anywhere after I hit submit.
@KnowItSome - As far as I know, nothing has changed with FB. Those are the steps I followed and badges are shown properly on my fb profile. I can’t remember if there was a save button to press after pasting the code in the profile box or not. I personally find the FB interface very finicky. I would try again and see if it works now.

I just reset al my languages. But my badge for italian still shows my old wordcount.
@meiske - It may have just been a temporary delay. I just checked and your badge currently shows 0 Known Words.
