Japanese 「」 are always broken

Every text that has quotation particles ends up with them being broken.

Have you experienced something like this?
Is it something on my side or is it long-lasting problem of lingq?
I’m making flashcards with yomitan and a lot of times it catches not one sentence but almost a full page

Are you using the AI re-split? It has a known issue that has already been reported here. I’m also waiting for it to be fixed, for now I just don’t re-split the lessons.

Oh I think yes!
I’ve checked all the settings but didn’t find where this setting is, can you help me with that?

On the web you can go to App Settings > Reader > Script Settings and enable or disable “optimize word splitting using AI”. On the app you will find that on Settings > Lesson Settings > Asian script settings.

You can still do it in the Edit Lesson page if you want to, and when you open a lesson for the first time you will also get a screen asking if you want to re-split it.
