Import issue - dubbed English audio instead of Spanish from YouTube

I keep trying to import this video into Lingq to study the spanish, but the audio keeps defaulting to robot-English, yikes! Any idea how to get the original audio into linq? I know on actual youtube I can select the right audio track, but even with that enabled I keep getting dubbed audio when I import. Thanks! https://youtu.be/ygOh6jzw3Cg?feature=shared

Thanks, we will look into this. Seems like it keeps defaulting to English.

Hi Zoran, I am having this problem as well when I import some YouTube videos originally in Brazilian Portuguese. If the channel has the dreaded auto-dub-into-English feature, that is the audio track that gets imported into LingQ, not the original Portuguese audio. Thanks!

Hi there, any word from the team on this issue? It is still happening. Any YouTube video that has an English overdub available, that’s the audio feed that gets imported into LingQ. Thank you for your help.

same here. i’m importing French videos that are French on youtube but imoort with an awful English AI audio on Lingq

This is also happening with Japanese videos, any lesson from YouTube seems to default to auto-generated Japanese. I was considering signing back up to premium, but this needs to be fixed first.

Trying again, it seems for me at least the issue is mainly on the app.
In the browser it imports the original audio but I find it a bit difficult to watch and read at the same time since the video floats and partially covers the text instead of being separated like in the app. On the browser (mobile Firefox) the left side of the screen also tends to get cut off for some reason which is why I prefer using the app.

Would appreciate it if you could look into autogenerated English audio getting imported in the app as well, thanks!

Yes. Definitely a challenge. Limits the ability to listen to many videos through LingQ.

This happens a lot for Spanish and Hindi videos I try to send to LingQ.

After you import the video lesson into LingQ you can expand the little video window and use the gear icon to access settings, and then manually change the audio track back to the target language. It can be annoying but it is a viable workaround until LingQ gets it fixed.

I’m currently watching the video you posted in Hindi – but only understanding the few words that were borrowed from English. What a cool language though.
