Dictionary language set to Japanese, but definitions switch to French

I have set the dictionary language to Japanese only, but I’m experiencing an issue where the definition I enter in Japanese is automatically assigned to the French language.
This behavior only occurs when I write meanings such as “その他もろもろ、などなど、その他似たようなもの、その他同じようなもの、その他同種類のもの” or similar phrases for the word “whatnot.”
When this happens, the language flag first briefly shows Japanese, then instantly switches to French.
After that, the settings are changed automatically to include the French dictionary, even though I haven’t added it myself.

You can remove unwanted language from here.

The link doesn’t lead to the correct page, but I understand what you’re trying to say.
I know how to set the dictionary languages, and I can remove French accordingly.
However, the definition I entered in Japanese is still treated as if it were in French.
If I edit that entry, French gets added back again.

This time, when I entered “できるから” as the meaning of “생기니까,” it was recognized as English.
Once that happens, I can’t manually change the language.
It seems that the issue occurs with certain seemingly random words, but once it happens, there’s no way to fix it manually.

Sorry to hear that. When did you start experiencing the issue?

I can’t remember exactly when it started. The issue occurs quite infrequently, so it took me a while to realize something was wrong after I first noticed something unusual.
It might have started around two weeks ago, but I can’t say for sure.

When the dictionary is set to only one language, the flag icon normally doesn’t appear to the right of the input field. One day, I suddenly noticed the flag icon appearing (of course, showing Japanese as I had set), and I felt something was off, although I didn’t understand why at the time.
After a while, I realized that a language I hadn’t set myself had been added to the dictionary settings. I assumed it was some kind of mistake and deleted it.
However, this happened two or three more times.

Then, while reviewing words in the vocabulary list, I noticed that some meanings were registered under a language other than Japanese.
Later on, I discovered that this was happening while I was creating LingQs, just as described above. That was yesterday.

Also, there are times when the flag icon appears in light green. In those cases, when I reload the page, I find that the meaning I entered wasn’t saved.
If I enter it again after that, it usually saves correctly.

Maybe it’s related to this

Thanks, we will investigate it.
