Creating a transcript from a Youtube video that doesn't have subtitles

I was just curious if there’s any integrated tool to create a transcript for a lesson that I import from a Youtube video that didn’t have a subtitles attached. For example, I have imported some songs that I want to learn the lyrics but I have to put the lyric text in manually and it doesn’t sync the timing of the lyrics to the song unless I do it manually which is a nightmare.

This isn’t working for a while now. But there are freeware tools like FasterWhisper XXL that you can use. You have to download and convert the videos to mp3 first, which can be done with the (also free) tool YouTube Playlist Downloader.

turboscribe.ai accepts a Youtube (and other sources) url, transcribes it and captures the audio. I download the resulting srt file and the audio to create the lesson in Lingq. Works very well. Syncs very well.
