It doesn’t seem like this is a very reliable tool, which is a shame because it is an amazing idea and I really hope they manage to fix the issue soon. Maybe instead of relying on an automatic selection there should be a way to select the available subtitles from a dropdown. For example - are you getting conflicts with other types of subtitles. Such as “Language [CC]” and “Language” showing up on the same video file. Or other unanticipated conflicts?
Actually, it’s a very reliable tool. Many thousands of lessons get imported every day, most of them using the import extension. Yes, the odd lesson doesn’t work because there is something different about it. Then, if it gets reported to us, we can figure out why it didn’t work, and adjust the extension so that it works in the future.
Sorry I didn’t mean to be overly critical, my bad! I just tried a couple of imports that failed and then I saw a number of threads about the chrome extention not working so I was kind of upset because I was really thrilled to start working with this tool.
Tommouse…make a separate post about the issue you’ve had. Zoran often will come back with an answer. Even, if it’s simply to say it may be a site the developers need to look at. Some sites may simply not import. I’ve had plenty of success importing articles from the web (news sites, magazine sites, etc.). Youtube…everything I’ve tried so far. Netflix as well.
Great I will do that thanks. My problem was with Netflix and it seemed a lot of people were having a similar issue so I didn’t post another separate thread. I switched over to the Firefox addon instead and that worked fine too. Nice to know the dev keeps an eye on the situation though so that’s great Any problems I have in the future I will come and do just that. Thanks x
I clicked on the provided link and got something called “Genius Search”. I then tried to do it manually, but my ignorance when it comes to computers stopped me. I don’t know what happened, but please fix it! It’s such a fantastic idea.
Hi there,
Just installed this and tried using the extension on Chrome for my macbook for Narcos: Mexico and El Chapo. Neither worked. Is this software still functional?
Thanks
It is functional, yes. From where are you importing the shows?
