Can no longer use the web platform on Android because of automatic redirect to the mobile app

With Chrome on my Android phone and tablet, I can no longer use the web version of LingQ because, after logging in, I get directly redirected to the Android app.

I used to be able to us the web platform on Android Chrome.

This is particularly problematic today because audio generation is currently broken on Android and using the web platform is the only workaround untill it gets fixed:

It’s an Android thing rather than a Lingq thing.
On your android device:

Go to settings

“Choose Default apps”

“Set as default”
”Open supported links” Turn it off if you want links to open in a browser.

That fixes the problem - thanks for the reminder - but it shouldn’t be problem at all.
I never changed this value, so I suspect it’s caused by a recent change of the web site.

Possible drawback: I opened a LingQ notification a few days ago that redirected me - in the app - to a list of lessons related to the Winter Olympics. With that Android option turned off, I wonder if the behaviour won’t change and open the next list in th3 browser?!

My guess is it was because they updated the app.

Not sure if we made any change here. Let me check with our team.
