Youtube Video Import - Wrong Audio Track

I use LingQ to learn German and lots of videos on Youtube have multiple audio tracks, so that they can be seamlessly offered in multiple languages - instead of just subtitles this function allows the imbedded narration or commentary in a film/documentary to be switched. Unfortunately, the windows browser extension seems to always switch back to the English audio track when I import the video. My UI, the video title/description/audio track is in German but gets switched to English - even when the original video was in German. I am wondering if this can be looked at so that the audio track matches the language that I am trying to import.

Thank you.

YouTube doesn’t currently allow selecting of the Audio Track automatically when embedding the player. They frustratingly only allow setting of the subtitle language. To edit the audio language you need to make the player big enough that the settings icon appears.

I don’t see how LingQ would get around that without doing some low level edit to the embedded YouTube script itself. Could be a question for YouTube support if its an annoying enough problem.

We are familiar with this problem and we are looking into it. Hopefully we will have it figured out soon.
