YouTube sentence mode playback is experiencing stuttering/lagging

Recently, in some YouTube videos, when a sentence is played, the first second of the audio is repeated several times at the beginning. For example, if the sentence is “Hello, my name is Len,” it will play as “He He He Hello, my name is Len.” There are several consecutive stutters at the beginning.

I will record a video of myself repeating this question and upload it later.

The device is running iOS 26.2, it’s an iPad mini 7, and the LingQ app is the latest version.

I have also noticed this recently on the iPhone app.

@len1984 We are aware of that issue and I believe it will be fixed in the next app update. I spoke with our developers about it today.

@len1984 We did fix this, but the new app version hasn’t released yet. Should be early next week.
