Youtube importer not working

Doesn’t look like that on my end. Still hanging and will probably abort again.

Any updates to his Zoran?

My experience this morning was that one Youtube video imported from my iPhone. The next one I tried failed again.

This now seems completely broken, I haven’t been able to import anything for several days at least. It would be good if there some communication to say what the problem is and when it’s likely to work again.

We are constantly working on YT import issues since we have had problems with this feature lately. I hope we will have it completely figured out and back to normal very soon, I apologize for any inconvenience.

Perhaps we should not be charged while the site is semi functional? This has been going on ages.

What does work it to use a transcript and than add the video link when creating the lesson. The text and the video will even be synched.

Importing YouTube videos that comes with subtitles in the videos language works, too.

So the only thing that doesn’t work is importing videos without subtitles in the videos language. I haven’t tested what happens, if you try to import an audiofile, but my impression is that something is wrong with the transcription feature.

BTW: You can create the transcripts yourself. I asked ChatGPT and he wrote me a program and guided me through the installation process of all the dependencies to get it to run. Not optimal but better then nothing.

Still having issues, nothing will import, I have tried Spanish, German, and Swedish. Nothing. Its a pity really because I normally use this app for at least an hour a day, and I use almost exclusively youtube. And now I can’t use it at all. If this continues, I shall demand a refund.
