Wonderful. I have recently resubscribed after a longer leave of absence. I almost abstained from rejoining, already fretting about all the bugs and dysfunctionalities I might be greeted with upon my return. But the addition of the whisper transcriptions were really useful, so I subscribed for another year. And wouldn’t you know it. It is broken. How utterly predictable. I feel like the Lingq-Team itself has not yet quite understood that they are running a professional website. Subscription-based even and not exactly cheap. Can they really not find a way to run their website stably? Imagine Netflix not being able to reliable stream their catalogue, or Duolingo constantly breaking down. I used to be so enthusiastic about Lingq and recommend it to everybody wanting to learn a language. I no longer mention it to anybody, since this amount of mismanagement and resulting frustration cannot be expected to be endured by a newcomer. Please get a grip on the technical aspects of your website or rethink your subscription prices to reflect the fact this is not a professional maintained site, and every feature can break down any time. I realize I am venting, but I am still coming from a place of affection for Lingq and the idea behind it. I spent a lot of time here, and I would love to spend a whole lot of more time and gladly pay for it, but if you charge as much as the biggest streaming service in the world for an assisted reading platform, you better make sure it works.
