Is Lingq doing anything to prepare for and adapt to the pending closure of the Yandex dictionary service, perhaps by using the translator instead?
Wow. We’re supposed to use perevodchik instead now it seems.
Edit: Of course you mentioned that.
So, will Lingq adapt? Yes, I can copy, change to a tab with Yandex Translate open, paste, copy the result, switch tabs, and paste. But that rather defeats Lingq’s goal to facilitate quickly moving through texts while accumulating vocabulary.
The Google dictionary just isn’t up to snuff. The service from a Russian company, oddly enough, knows much more about the Russian language than a California company (albeit co-founded by a Russian-born American).
This is a terrible surprise. I’m not very pleased.
