Dear LingQ Team,
when clicking on a word in a a text, often some of the words next to it automatically get marked gray. These additionally marked words can be words that are frequently said in combination with the clicked word or just whole parts of the sentence.
Is there a way to turn this function off?
Same thing here. This started appearing yesterday. And yes, I am selecting one word only (or if I am selecting a phrase, then the phrase is yellow and there is a gray marking on top of it (it is very slightly bigger than the yellow box and the corners are square, not rounded).
[Edit:] It seems to highlight related phrases. Which could be useful (unless there are many of them, because then they all blend together). If this is actually it, then the idea at the very least has potential. Unless it’s just a bug.
@lijepdan In your case, those words are already white, as I can see, which means you already marked them as known. In your screenshot, only word “siodmej” is selected, the gray highlighting behind shows related phrase, which you can also select and save if you want.
When you read a text and click on some words to see the translation, every time you click on another word, you have this gray marking jumping around.
This may be helpful when you are a beginner, in order to see which combined words form a meaning.
It really isn’t a big deal when you get used to it.
But I just find it distracting. That’s it.
