Sorry if this is answered somewhere else, I tried to look…
So it’s easy to see number of known words, but how many LingQs do I currently have? Is this number easily accessible? The only numbers I see are, number of LingQs created and number of LingQs learned. I suppose I can subtract one from the other, but considering that for some reason my number of LingQs learned is higher than my known words, I dont really trust these numbers. Would be great to just see:
Number of known words: ****
Number of LingQs (unknown, yellow etc): ****
You can click on the right-facing arrow next to the LingQs count (or any other stat) to see the charts, where you can also view by timeframe using the dropdown.
Yes thank you, I am aware of all of this, as I said, these show the total number of LingQs you have ever created, not the number you currently have. You can also see the number of LingQs you have learned total, which for some reason is higher than the number of known words I have. However there is no way it seems to just see the current number of LingQs you have. Words that are currently yellow etc. This is what I’m interested in.
I see… I misunderstood your question. There are lots of newbies here so I thought it was more basic.
I don’t think there’s a place where it’s neatly displayed, but you could try the Vocabulary section. That has every single word you’ve added as a LingQ, even if fully known now. You could export the list to Excel (csv file) and total the entries. That’s the only solution I can think of.
No worries. Yes actually that works quite well, I didn’t think of just selecting all the unknown words and seeing the total selected counter. Thank you Although I still think it wound be nice to have this number in the statistics somewhere.
All your LingQs are still counted as LingQs created, even if some of these LingQs moved to status 4 (or checkmarked) and are also considered Known and included in the Known words stats too. So the number is the same, your LingQs counter won’t decrease, unless you ignore some of the LingQs from the list.
Yes I know…? I think you have misunderstood what I am asking for as well. The number I am interested in is the current number of unknown LingQs I have. So the current number of words I have left in a language that are status 1 - 4. Devin found a way to do it by filtering the vocab list and then selecting all to get a number, but I still think it would be nice to have this number in the stats somewhere.
@TomErikSmith Keep in mind that words with status 4 are also considered Known and appear as white in a lesson. Checkmark only means that words will no longer appear in the review.
