Where could I find a friends to practice my language?

Really I tried most of the applications that say that I can practice my language on it (but I don’t want to practice my language with AI because it’s speaks with weird way). Until now I tried Speaky and Hellotalk and Tandem and all of the people on it just trying to find their soulmate….
So really if there’s another applications I can try please recommend it, or just someone tell me if they use AI and if this really successful. Sorry if my English is bad. I’m also learning Russian and Chinese

I totally get you. As a tip, try talking to people of the same gender; it’s more likely—though not impossible otherwise—that they are genuinely interested in the language. It’s a bit frustrating, I know, but you’ll eventually meet someone who just wants to practice. However, it can still be hard to click with people because you need to have things in common too.

Try not to be too pushy (like saying ‘I want this and that’) and make sure to be reciprocal; don’t just expect help, you need to help them too. Also, try to speak only with native speakers of the language you’re learning. They’ll be more interested that way. Just keep in mind that the lower your level is, the harder it will be to find a steady partner.

Interestingly, I found my soulmate on HelloTalk and we’ve been together for three years now, even though that wasn’t my intention at all!

Thanks for advice I’ll try my best, but also they think that I’m boring so I’ll try to search good. And also it’s amazing to find your soulmate, I don’t think it’s useful anyway and I’ll try my hard to find my soulmate too without any intention, thank you very much for the energy😤!

I’d like to ask a question: Is communication effective in improving language skills in this situation?
For example:
I am a native Chinese speaker learning English.
You are a native English speaker learning Chinese.
Can this kind of communication lead to effective mutual learning?

There are some systems where you can find a conversation partner online who is learning your language, and who speaks the language that you want to learn. You have conversation where you each speak in your own language to each other – if you are at a level where you can understand each other.

This helps with listening comprehension, and you can also try to help each other with words and phrases that your partner doesn’t understand. When you are ready you can try having short conversations in just one language at a time, to improve your speaking ability.

Anything where one person is doing most of the explaining and the other is practicing what is being taught would be tutoring, and not conversation practice with an equal partner. Both situations can help at least one of the people to learn, but normally you would be paying the other person for tutoring you.

The success of the language exchange will depend on how serious each person is, and how much time and effort they are willing to put into it. I think that having compatible personalities can be somewhat important too. The hope is to find someone at your own level that you enjoy speaking to, who is available reliably.

Be aware that some people may be native speakers – but not naturally good or trained teachers, and unable to explain their own language effectively to others.

These are my impressions from doing language exchanges, teaching English to individuals and in classrooms, and being tutored and taking group classes in other languages.

I hope that you can find what you are looking for.

I think it is but if there’s a continuity, for me I don’t speak with a native Chinese before so really I didn’t try it before, but I tried to practice my language with Chinese learner and I noticed that my Chinese is be worth than I expect because there mistakes be mine too so because this I decided to speak with a native speaker not a learner and I think it’s effective but until now I didn’t speak with a native before + I’m not a native English I’m native Arabic speaker and my level in English is B1 and I think you can improve your English by speaking even with yourself or if you’re lazy open a series or a film in English and just try to have fun with it, after a short period you’ll notice that you can use a words you don’t even know its usage or it’s meaning but you will know exactly where to use it, and I try this method but also don’t leave the ordinary way to learn English it’ll help you in the IELTS exam, my big mistake is when I neglected the ordinary way to learn English and just go with my skills without any preparation so just focus on writing and speaking and when you’re feel exhausted or feeling lazy just watch a film and enjoy your time. How can I notice the Chinese word easily? it’s really hard. Give me an advice

Sometimes I go to the discord group called French - Learn french in a friend community They have channels in there for practice speaking with others, you can probably find a similar group in your language. https://www.reddit.com/r/frenchhelp/comments/9xs1gw/active_and_friendly_french_learning_discord_server/

You can look into https://www.free4talk.com/

My plan was to eventually play online games where I can speak the language with others for hrs but haven’t reached that level yet. But could be an option for you if you are into games.
