The Walking Dead: Book One (graphic novel) is the only one in the genre that I ever kinda sorta read. Someone got it for me as a collector’s item / Christmas present.

I have never been a fan of that “genre” or subgenre, but if I had to pick one, I would pick “I Am Legend” from the early 1950s. They made at least three movies about it, Last Man on Earth, Omega Man, and more recently I Am Legend with Wil Smith.
