Dear Roosterburton, is it possible to increase the lengt of subtitles per frame? It is difficult to understand the context if most of the time only a part of a sentence is displayed.

@Anatolmiller

The subtitle timestamps stamps are created based on the import method.
[whisper, subtitles, translate etc]

I’ve heard that the ‘Whisper LINGQ’ import method returns longer sentences but needs to be tested. Provided captions are usually the best option if available and autogen last.

To be sure it’s better to delete the lesson and create it again to test other methods.

Also, from the audio bar you can click the Gender icon → Floating Captions to get an auto scrolling full text of the video

I am trying to use the simplified to traditional Chinese character conversion, but get the following issue:

Then when I refresh, it asks for my license key which I the provide, and it happens all over again.

Dear @roosterburton, it seems the MasterLingQ Chrome extension, version 1.575, is not supported any more. This is a pity, as I liked it a lot. You were mentioning version 2. When will that be available, can you already say? Thanks a lot and looking forward to hearing from you. :+1: :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey mate, awesome that the extension helps.

Version 1.577 is available on Sendowl

Hey, is there any progress on this? I would love to use LingQ for any website I go to like Readlang/vocab tracker does.

Readlang is a good tool with some real thought behind it

I made a prototype selection import a couple of years ago but never found the time to finish it.

You can utilize browser tools like Reading Mode to strip annoying material from webpages. Technology like this would be the foundation

I just had a crack at this with Mozilla’s Readability package and it works pretty well. Could create an integrated tool using the LM/LingQ/Browser APIs pretty quickly although doing it well would be a month+ long investment. Unlikely it will happen anytime soon.

Ok, fair enough. Hopefully LingQ create something similar eventually.

I’ve been trying out the extension, but so far that’s what I get in 2 different chromium browsers (Chrome and Opera GX)
The translation does not match the current word I clicked but rather some other word in the sentence.
I’m using the V2, should I try the V1 instead?

here we can see the transliterations also don’t match

Thanks for the report @Oshikuru

It appears the bug is related to the No Lesson Mode and LanguageMaster Lessons when loading Pinyin Transliterations.

When loading from LingQ Lessons the generated Pinyin is overwritten with the LingQ Pinyin data and appears correct.

The fix will be worked on today and applied as soon as possible. I’ll also apply some premium time to your account to try the LingQ lesson mode.

Edit: Appears to be fixed now. Will make the patch later today.

Hi, I subscribed to rooster but it’s not working. It takes forever to load and it doesnt show anything else. What can i do?

@roosterburton How can i fix it ?

@Fael168

The browser you are using the tool in also needs to be logged in to LanguageMaster.
