Consult me please: Is there a way to add new words to the vocabulary manually, besides highlighting them in the text? Sometimes I read a lot of materials outside the platform, and I’d like to keep the new vocabulary in one organized place.
Also, is there a feature to export the learned words to a file?
I’ve also noticed that when a phrase is split between two lines, I can’t highlight the whole phrase because it only allows me to highlight part of it.
Hello!
Yes, on the Vocabulary page you will notice the Import Vocabulary button at the top right. If you click on it, you will see two available options for Vocabulary import - by taping words manually and import them, or to bulk import via CSV file.
All your saved LingQs are listed on the Vocabulary page, you can filter out learned words only (status 4 and checkmarked) and then select them and export. The Export option is under the More Actions button.
In some specific cases, in some lessons, due to bad formatting of imported files each line is considered new paragraph and you can select and save phrases across paragraphs.
Thank you @zoran for the guidance. When I try to type a new word through the import option, I don’t see any instant translation suggestions. I can only locate the word I typed by going back to the vocabulary list, but when I try to edit it, it doesn’t provide multiple translation options. just the default one that was originally generated.
