When we announced the change three days ago that LingQs would be accompanied by a number indicating their status, we had no idea that so many of you would respond. The reactions ranged all across the spectrum, but in the course of the discussion several great ideas emerged.
One of these ideas is one that we have chosen to implement. Instead of LingQs showing a number indicating their status, different status LingQs will now be represented by four different markers:
Status 1 words will now have a more vivid yellow highlight. Status 2 words will have a faded yellow highlight. Status 3 words will have an even more faded highlight along with the dotted underline, and Status 4 (Known) words will retain their current dotted underline.
Thank you to all of you who provided valuable feedback. We hope this change is received well by everyone, and that it motivates you to start moving your words up in status or moving words to Known.
