Vanishing Course

Hey all,

I created a new course (named BW 5) when importing some lessons. The course exists… but it doesn’t appear in the courses tab. Not under recents, nor under the list of all courses. I can only seem to get it very hackily - by finding a lesson that uses the course in the recents and navigating it through there. Is there a way to fix this?

Strange, when you find and open a course, can you please send over course URL?

Hi Zoran,

I have the same problem. Here is the url for a private course I made in the way OP described: (https://www.lingq.com) /en/learn/da/web/editor/courses/2676897

Please prioritize fixing this – it is essential that we are able to view the courses we create.

Also, since the new import-method-update, I cannot find a way to create a course, other than creating a course when importing a lesson. In the past, there was a “+” button to add a course from the Courses→ View All page. Has that been deliberately disabled?

@AvecLeCoeur Thanks, can you please assign a level to that course and then check again?

Regarding creating a course, you can now create it when importing a first lesson into the new course.

Hi Zoran,

I assigned a level just now to the course that I had already created. The course still does not appear in the course listing.

Next time I create a course, I will assign a level – maybe it will help if it has a level from the time of its creation? (But why??? Before the horrible “update”, this was not required. Personally, I have no need to assign levels to my imports…. The tech should add my courses whether I assign levels or not.)

I realize that we can create a course when we import the first lesson, but why can’t we create a course the old way? I used to create a course and add an image to it, and then add lessons to it. Now, it seems that the only option is to create a course when creating a lesson, and then go back to edit the course (to add an image). It feels inelegant.

@AvecLeCoeur Thanks for giving it a try. It sounds like a bug then, I will ask our team to look into it.

Ive had that happen. Drove me nuts cause I kept uploading it. Anyway, I found it by toggling through lessons course and imported lessons options listed under the continue studying section on the top left. (On iPad)
