Update - New Whisper Automatic Transcription, Deepl integration and more

This is supposed to optimize lessons that you import. Are you saying that when importing lessons on the iOS app, they are not being imported using the optimized splitter? This feature does not optimize existing lessons I’m afraid. It only optimizes when you actually import something.
For those lessons that you previously imported, you can find the optimize option in the settings. For lessons taken from the Library, I’m afraid those can’t be optimized by you.

This is a Japanese specific technology that has been incorporated here. We are looking at how to do something similar for Chinese in the not too distant future.

Thank you for looking into this matter on my behalf.
I am specifically talking about importing a lesson in iOS with YouTube app share function, web articles share function, such as Wikipedia or NHK news, that are not being split using the optimized splitter.

Currently there is no “alert”, “message”, or “sign” to indicate that any optimization has occurred as it is the case with LingQ web interface. In LingQ’s web platform there’s a prompt to notify you of the lesson being optimized and after it’s completed a second notification prompts the user to reload the lesson for its effects to take effect.

No such feature is available yet for iOS.
I can confirm that the old splitter is being used when importing on iOS as I have imported the same lesson via both platforms and the splitting is different.

你好,关于阅读页面增加额外的配色,我上个月提出的请求,但是现在还是没有上线这个功能,他会在下个版本更新上线吗,还是在多久呢,你们的进展怎么样,我真的非常期待

Thanks, we’ll look into those issues. You are right that it has been implemented in some places and not others. We are working on getting it in place on all apps and for all use cases and making sure the experience is smooth.
