Same here. I had used the LingQ extension in Google Chrome without a problem for many months, then starting just several days ago I keep getting the error: Error: file: The submitted file is empty.
@Pbeaudr231 Make sure to update Firefox extension now to version 2.3.3 and give it another try?
Regarding Chrome, extension update is coming hopefully this week too.
Updated to 3.22 but still doesnāt work for me. It gets to āImportingā but then gets stuck, nothing happens, only the icon turning⦠I tried on two different computers using the latest Firefox, same result on both. One PC is running Windows 10 and the other is Windows 11.
This new version is working for me, thank you!
Well done with this update. Really impressive work using the window object of the YouTube page to capture the real text URLS. Also very impressed that youāve managed to standardize this process with the Netflix and Prime Import.
A question
why the YT data comes from a post query with hard coded vars when that data should also be available in the window??
and there is a crashing error that you should look at.
When coming from the YouTube home page the LQYTSUB never populates on the first import. The user needs to refresh the page when on that video or navigate to a second video to allow importing.
Update re: Firefox. I followed roosterburtonās comment about refreshing the page and I am now able to download content successfully. For me, the following works: 1) find the video you wish to import, 2) refresh the page first before selecting the importer 3) select the LingQ importer. If you donāt refresh the page first it gets stuck on āImportingā. It seems you only have to refresh the page once and you can import other videos after as long as you donāt shut the app.
same problem both android or web extension with this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2maex-9qSHI&t=38s&ab_channel=NailChinesewithStella
Thank you so much, that actually worked! I can finally luse lingQ again!
@Pbeaudr231 You need to update LingQ Importer extension on Firefox to 2.3.3 update.
Zoran, the issue Iām describing IS with the new 2.33 update for Firefox. Itās now working for me, but once I find a video to import, I have to refresh the page first before using the importer. If I donāt do that, the import just hangs on āImportingā. Also, once Iāve refreshed the page for one video, it works fine for any subsequent video I want to download. But if I close Firefox and reopen it, I have to refresh the page again to import a video in order for the importer to work. Sorry if my previous text wasnāt clear. Not sure if others are having this issue. Iām not a Firefox user. Iām only using Firefox until the LingQ import issue in Chrome is fixed. Thanks.
Hi,
All transcripts I attempted (about 25 lessons, ~10+ hours total) failed to download or save. I retried, but all failed again.
Do these failed attempts count toward my monthly limit?
Thanks,
@Pbeaudr231 Thanks for the explanation. I forwarded to our developers.
@Hugo101 What browser are you using?
Zoran, by the way, I saw that the Edge importer was updated today. I tried importing in Edge and noticed the same issue. It works fine, but only after refreshing the page after finding a video I want to import. If I donāt refresh the page first, it wonāt work. Just thought Iād let you knowā¦Happy that I can import videos again.
@Pbeaudr231 We will release another update, which should be today, that will cover that issue too on both Edge and Firefox. Chrome should be out this week too, Google takes more time to approve new versions.
Firefox, on Windows 10
I am having the same issue on the web version and am using Microsoft Edge. I did not have any issues with it before. I reinstalled it , however, I have to refresh the page first before importing the video. It is kind of annoying, though
Where are the updates?
