So I have kind of an unusual problem. I’ve been using LingQ on an android enabled E ink tablet (A BOOX Palma to be exact). It’s an amazing experience and so easy on the eyes. I highly recommend it.
There is just one issue. Coins do not accrue correctly as you turn pages and only when you complete an activity. This isn’t too much of a problem unless you are at a fairly advanced level. Now, for example, I am reading whole books and just allowing LingQ to do the lesson delineations itself. I read daily, but I don’t necessarily finish a 100 or so page lesson each night.
As a result, all the streak stuff has been sort of weaponized against me. I basically complete my streak every day, yet I’m told constantly how I’m not performing well enough. I’ve been using this thing for several years and my habits are pretty well ingrained. I no longer need it to hold my hand, but it be nice if it wasn’t constantly telling you what a failure I am.
