Hi, extreme newbie here.
When i imported a word document of some song lyrics, the lyrics are in English, I was under the impression that Lingq automatically translated the text into the target language, in my case it would be Italian.
Have i misunderstood ?

There is the possibility to use ai translation. You can find it when clicking on the three dots menu in the upper right corner (show translation, if no translation is present it will create one).
I’m also having this problem in a different language, previously it would translate in the target language but lately it keeps translating to various besides the target language.
No, LingQ won’t automatically translate text to your study language, that’s not how it works. You need to import Italian texts to create lessons of them.
