The Whisper Playground is now a one stop location for transcribing YouTube videos and your own media content (Without the LanguageMaster extension).
YouTube videos with subtitles appear pre-generated with options to download the subtitles, transcribe and download new captions (using a choice of 15 models), translate (with OpenL) into 100+ languages, review the media with text to speech / timestamped playback and download the video’s comments.
These features (excluding transcribe / translate) can be used with a free LanguageMaster account.
When uploading your own media you must select the language and a transcription provider to return the subtitles. There are multiple price points / use cases for the transcription models, this information is available by mousing over the model.
The Whisper Playground now also doubles as the LanguageMaster website lesson screen. Users are able to review the text / translation and saved word information from their lesson. If the video was imported from YouTube it will contain additional playback options.
