The polyglot project podcast

I want to announce to you all that myself and claude will be starting a podcast following on from the ployglot project. We will be interviewing many different polyglots, we want to pick their brains and ask them as many questions as possible. If steve is interested we would love to interview you as well. It would be great to have the podcast available here on lingQ, however I don’t have much time for transcribing because of all my responsibilities. If there is anyone here willing to transcribe the podcast that will be great. (please leave a comment or send me a message)

Initially the podcast will be hosted on claude’s blog and my own, we’ll see how it goes and we’ll make changes if necessary

so that’s

and
http://www.davidmansaray.com

you would only need to subscribe to either RSS feed to receive updates.

For those of you that don’t use RSS feed you can join me on Facebook or twitter to receive updates as well.

We have shortlisted some people we will be interviewing, we won’t be able to interview everyone, but if you are interested in participating please send claude or myself a message.

This will be a fantastic resource for language learners. which would be even more great if we could have it transcribed. Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing your comments.

Could a moderator please delete the other post I created by accident. Thanks

Thank you for the reminder, David. I heard about it from Claude on YouTube. It would be great to have the podcast with the transcript here on LingQ.

I’m so looking forward to those podcasts!

@David + Claude

Just let me know and best of luck with it !

I would like to let you all know that the first episode of the podcast is available. Enjoy. All feedback is welcome. http://bit.ly/iffgu4

Excellent! I really enjoyed it :slight_smile:

Yes, very nice, I look forward to hearing more! ¡Sigue así!

This is an amazing idea! Do you have an idea as to the people you’ll be interviewing? There are several such polyglots whose writings I have read and whose ideas I have followed for a long time, so if you’re stuck on questions, I’d be more than happy to think some up myself, since I am very familiar with the kinds of questions they’ve been asked in the past before. I could help to keep the interview fresh, as it were. In any case, I greatly look forward to this! If I can help in any way, do let me know.

I normally do the dishes listening to Russian, or Portuguese or Korean, or some other language. Today I did the dishes listening to Claude and David. Very interesting, very relaxed, informative, refreshing, encouraging, and good quality sound. I look forward to more.

What software did you use for the recording? The sound quality is just excellent.

@chris We’ve approached several different polyglots, and a handful of them have agreed to participate. I’ll be happy more than happy to take questions from listeners, I encourage it in fact. Just any questions you have in the comment section of the blog or right here in this forum, whichever you suits you best.

@ steve I’m glad you enjoyed Steve, that’s great to hear.

I used a piece of software call wire tap studio. Genius technology. Worth every penny!

cool! where do I sign up?

I’m sorry I’m not sure I understand what you mean, please clarify what you mean by sign up?

@yuriythebest

send me an e-mail detailing what you would like to speak about and what you have to offer to the languag learning community, then Claude and I will consider everyone that wants to be interviewed after we get through our list.

I’ll like to let you all know that I’ve created a collection for the Polyglot Podcast right here on lingQ. A special thanks to Jamie for his hard work.; as episodes are transcribed in the future I will add them here to lingQ, but please remember to subscribe to http://www.davidmansaray.com to receive updates as soon as they are available. Thanks guys.
