There is a thread where there are over two-hundred thousand posts. I am wondering if there is any limit on the number beyond which the system will cease to function.

There seems to be no limit to the number of questions you can dream up! Let’s hope there is no restriction on the number of posts we can write, otherwise you and I would be in trouble one of these days, me more so than you . . .
Edited: “me” is a deliberate colloquialism; officially it should be “I’d be in more trouble”.

I remember the Y2K problem. There is nothing under the sun that has no limit, even if more than two digits are used.
