The audio lesson in Ukrainian that I downloaded yesterday appears in Russian.
The beginning of the lesson is correct in Ukrainian, and after a few minutes, the text that is spoken appears with the Russian alphabet, and then, the text that is said in Ukrainian is even completely translated into Russian! This is serious, this lesson is completely useless to me, I am wasting my time and I am very shocked: What is happening?
I stopped this lesson, but I have screenshots that prove what I am saying.
Oui, c’est exactement la même chose.
Le début de la transcription écrite est bien en ukrainien, après quelques minutes d’audio en ukrainien, le texte écrit apparaît avec des lettres russes qui n’existent pas en ukrainien, et ensuite, le texte est carrément traduit en russe ! Stupéfiant … et très embêtant !
J’ai essayé de re-transférer cette audio, et la transcription écrite est tout aussi délirante.
Avez-vous eu une réponse constructive sur le sujet, est-ce que ça a continué ?
… so far (29 October 2024) unfortunately without success. Will this problem be solved at some point? Can you say when a solution to this problem can be expected?
OK, so it’s not just me. I am uploading Spanish language recordings of TV shows (originally made in Turkey and dubbed into Spanish) and large portions or, in some cases, all the recording, is being translated into a Cyrillic-based language. Hopefully, you all fix it soon.
This problem seems terribly present and growing. I think that “infiltrators” have managed to add Russian everywhere in LingQ. The most astonishing thing is when in a video or audio, there is Ukrainian AND English: **by some kind of miracle, LingQ translates the entirety into perfect Russian.
I report it to LingQ every time, I even tried to do it by email to try not to sabotage LingQ by remaining discreet about recurring dysfunction. It is all the more anormal since I pay for bad service. Each time, it is the same polite response, like “We are investigating the issue,” BUT there is no improvement, and even no proposal to reduce the price given the lack of quality. On social media:I have completely stopped recommending LingQ to learn Ukrainian, because I have already been criticized for it when people discovered how frequent Russian was in the courses, audios, and videos to learn Ukrainian. I found it very unpleasant to have been called a “Russian Nazi” when I am not responsible!
