Is text from manga - without pictures - considered a copyrighted material or it is still fair use? After all text alone does not constitute replacement of the original material so it should be alright, isn’t it?
I am working on a course using One Piece manga and I wonder if I can share it here.
I’m not a lawyer, but the text should still be a creative work, and covered by copyright. I think you’ll have to import privately.
They are for sure copyrighter but that not necessarily means we can’t use it. For example we have a lot courses with anime subtitles which is pretty much the same situation.
Can any admin take a stance here?
I think you will need to keep the course private, it’s a copyrighted material and shouldn’t be shared in the library, unfortunately.
