- LingQ has utilities that help monitor progress. The statistics are really good.
Dislike
- There is no real emphasis on making words “known”. A streak is based on making LingQs. Any chimpanzee with LingQ on a device and 10 minutes to spare can click or tap and make several LingQs. Fluent understanding of a text is achieved by getting the LingQs to familiar or known. I’m sure everyone finds that reading a text that is mostly white with a few underlined words is much easier than reading a mostly yellow one. There should be more incentive on learning LingQs than just making them.
