I wish all LingQers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Unless you’re Russian, in which case I hope you have a Happy New Year, followed possibly by a Merry Christmas and a Happy Old New Year.

In Britain you tend to have a Merry Christmas if you want one or not, the whole country gets very Dickensian and bedecked with holly. Saying “actually I’m not a Christian” doesn’t get you excused from mince pies and mistletoe.

Ich wünsche allen LingQ-Mitgliedern und dem LingQ-Team ein frohes und gesegnetes Weihnachtsfest und einen guten Rutsch ins Neue Jahr.

Merry Christmas! Joyeux Noël! God Jul! Fröhliche Weihnachten! ¡Feliz Navidad!

Thank you for all of your help and encouragement during the past few months.

Several years ago, when I walked near a kindergarten attached to a Shinto shrine, I saw a notice about Christmas party that was going to be held in the classes of the kindergarten. I felt it is strange and funny. I suppose children and their parents don’t see any contradiction in celebrating Christmas on the site of the shrine. I don’t dislike those people and the “mixed” culture.

I wish you all a happy new year 2011.

“Christmas cake is a type of fruitcake served at Christmas time in the UK, Ireland, Japan, Philippines and many Commonwealth countries.” Christmas cake - Wikipedia Christmas cake - Wikipedia
I am going to eat the cake that my wife ordered, without saying Merry Christmas at Christmas time.

Thank you for all your nice wishes! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Holidays to all of you out there in LingQLand! LingQ would not be what it is without your continuing support!

Thank you all and enjoy a Merry Christmas! Best wishes for a Happy New Year!

Okay, okay! Even a Christmas-“Muffel” (wonderful German word to describe someone who acts as if s/he doesn’t like things much) has to give in, faced with all this good cheer…

Merry Christmas! Best wishes for a Happy New Year!

Thank you for all the kind wishes. As much as I favour multlingualism, it is convenient to have one language we can all use to communicate in. So thanks to the English for giving us all this handy tool for communication, but at the same time I hope we will all continue our journey to discover more about the many different aspects of our common humanity that are reflected in the languages that we speak. I know I will.

In a similar way, Christmas has become a common festival in this globalized world, regardless of the religious beliefs of the people celebrating the event.

So Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

I am excited about the new developments that await us at LingQ in the new year. And this will include adding new languages, because once I finish my Korean, I will need a new challenge.

I am joining to thank the LingQ team and wish Steve, Mark, Alex and all the members Merry Christmas, happy New Year and all the best!

Thanks for all the wonderful wishes! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you! Enjoy the food, the festivities and most of all the fellowship with your friends and families

First I would like to thank the LingQ.com team in everything they have done for this great year here! WIthout you guys I wouldn’t be where I am right now with my language learning endeavor. I can’t wait to see what is in store for 2011 on LingQ and what languages will be brought into this great system!

I wish all of you, LingQ administration and fellow LingQers, a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

A very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Steve and the LingQ team and all the great people who contribute so much to this great site.

A very Merry Christmas to all the staff and members at LingQ. Thank you for your support in my language learning. As Nick910 said above, without LingQ I could not have attained the goal for this year, nor could I have enjoyed the friendship among the brilliant LingQers.

リンクスタッフの皆様、メンバーの皆様、今年はお世話になりました。2011年もよろしくお願いします。
