Apparently there is a new error in the Statistics pop-up window. The following screenshot states that I would have 269 new known-words today.
Going into the statistics I get the same number but not for today but for the week:

The screenshots you posted are both for the last 7 days, above and below. We don’t have today’s numbers underneath the phrase "You met your daily goal!
That sentence is for the streak only. I agree that it should show today’s numbers and not the week’s numbers. It’s counterintuitive.

Exactly. Pehaps it is a feature and not a bug - a counterintuitive feature then.
As far as I am concerned there should be the daily numbers below the phrase " You met your daily goal!". Currently I don’t see any hint that those numbers should refer to the last 7 days, so the above phrase seems to be the only indication regarding the timeframe.

Was this change just made today? It doesn’t make much sense to me, if you have a daily goal, why would it show weekly stats?

This has always shown daily stats, but also had a pulldown for weekly stats. Sucks.
