Something wrong with word count?

Hi,
I just finished the absolute beginner course Spanish, all 70 lessons. However my word count tells me I only know 121 words.
Surely there must have been many more words in that course!
Am I doing something wrong? I turned all blue words yellow.
Thanks!

I just found the ‘problem’! I have to go through the exercise cards to increase the word count.

Hi,
Blue Word are new words, but when Blue Word became Yellow, that doesn’t mean that word is known, that actually mean that you’ve created LingQ for that word.
You can find all your LingQs on the Vocabulary Page (Learn → Vocabulary), and you’ll see that all your LingQs have Status 1. When LingQs reach Status 4, they are then count as Known.
You can also make any Blue Word as Known directly if you click on that word, and then select “I know this word” at the top right.
