Here are a few more YouTube links for Vietnamese beginners that I’ve personally found helpful. These are mostly lesson type videos rather than content for importing into LingQ, but still valuable as a complement to LingQ for that essential first step of understanding the Vietnamese alphabet and pronunciation plus the first rudiments of vocabulary and grammar.
Several of these channels and videos are part of paid-for lessons and courses offered by the channel owners, but any ads in the videos can obviously be completely ignored since the videos are freely available on YouTube (presumably as tasters and as study content for the tutored courses).
Austen Mersereau: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CIMnnQI394 - a set of 15 short videos explaining the basics of accent and pronunciation. A few years old now, but accurate and well-explained IMHO.
TVO: https://www.youtube.com/@Tiengvietoi/playlists - one of the best-known and most prolific YouTube channels for learning Northern Vietnamese. A huge number of videos on various Vietnamese language topics and here’s one example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bUEK2O_89s
VietnamesePod101: https://www.youtube.com/@VietnamesePod101/playlists - another large and well-known channel with huge content. Videos are rather more structured into lessons and courses compared to the single-topic approach of TVO, but another major resource.
Levion: example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kStp3RJNN0M - a newer channel with many fewer videos but I still find some of these very useful as a complete beginner.
