Sentence translation wrong

For the mini stories are the sentence translations done with AI or by human?

I had assumed being a dedicated course by Lingq they would have been completed by a human and therefore trustworthy.

But this example seems to imply they are automated by machine/AI.

How can we trust these if we cannot trust the mini stories translation?

Example

(place card should be ‘seat reservation’)

To be honest, even the german sentence sounds odd. I noticed that, too, back in the day when I started with LingQ, that the translations are often error burdened and in a strangely sounding. The mini stories are an okay-ish start into a language if you want to pick up some basics, but not much beyond that. You are better of served importing your own learning content.

I tend to agree. As it happens my wife is German. On a few occasions now I have asked her to look at a Mini Story sentence and she has frowned and questioned it - saying it is badly constructed.

Sigh…

I am just not sure how much you can value LingQ if the translations are off?

I’ll check translations in that story, thanks for reporting.
