So, Macron won. Nothing bad could possibly happen when someone with all the credentials of a banker, working for the most greedy family in the history of the planet, has the reigns on an entire country.
Although i would have voted for neither, it’s quite nice but also disappointing that the liberals aren’t moaning and whining about the result. In fact, when the status quo of degeneracy that is the west is allowed to continue, the useless useful idiots keep schtum.
Banker running a country. At least now it’s there for all to see instead of the banks simply telling the candidates what they can and can’t do behind the scenes like usual.
After he makes the immigrant king of France and puts everyone else before the French (something MLP is called ‘evil’ and ‘racist’ for opposing - it really is terrible when someone puts their own people ahead of illegal parasites), the new FN will probably come into power next time around when the voters realise they’ve been duped.
And then France can look forward to a police-state.
We’ve been having this argument in the western world for decades: Do we want a flawed liberal government that has issues which would need to be addressed by potentially looking at the merits in some conservative ideas… or do we want the neanderthals to take over.
In our imperfect system, by the time we get to the voting booth, we’re asked to make a choice between these two.
Under the first option, you get to complain about the imperfections, under the second option, you’re just kinda hoping to survive.
Case in point: In the US, terrorists inspired by ISIS have killed a handful of people, over the past two years, Trump of course blamed liberal ideas for that, so the people elected him, now his health repeal law has a chance of killing tens of thousands of americans.
As a centrist, I’m often annoyed by the way liberals approach certain problems, however, I’ll take annoying people I might disagree with a hundred times over whatever evolutionary misfire of a subspecies that the likes of Tump represent.
I live in France. I own my house in France. I buy French produce. I pay French taxes. I’d say it is my country. Oh, and my ancestors are all from Normandy.
What liberals really mean when they say something like this is – don’t have an opinion different to mine, which is indistinguishable from what the MSM tells my brain to think. And most of all don’t voice your opinion.
Also calling out etudiant and ftornay (once again) for upvoting Jorgis’s ridiculous comment.
Just lol at you guys. Spineless.
Absolutely spineless hypocrites. We can have a Japanese moderator spam the forums non-stop with anti-Trump spam and you guys upvote that.
You see,@iaing, I do the same thing for you because there’s something I consider very just in your thread.
I like when you, native speakers of English debate here. I do learn a lot from your comments. Take your time and be more generous both with good English and text.
Why don’t you write in French then? If you’re so French, you must master the language. Unless you are Franck Ribéry’s brother of course.
No you prefer discussing it with people that know nothing they’re talking about, who were just dreaming to see their vote for Trump, for the Brexit or their love for Putin confirmed. They must have what, spent two weeks in Paris once in their life and think they know everything thanks to Russia Today or that kind of rubbish Russian propaganda.
We had the same sterile discussions about the Brexit too, with people not even living in the EU or in the UK trying to appear as smart. Same thing for the US elections.

Mr/Mrs Hedgehog seems to have innumerable spines. I don’t know why he/she prefers to read pro-Trump comments instead of anti-Trump comments. Is this related to his/her gorgeous spines? Or does it just show the depth of irrational love towards Trump?
(I just wanted to respond to Iaing’s interesting comment.)

It seems my comment disappeared for some reason. I’ll have to find out what I did to make that happen. Meanwhile to restate what I said.
All opinions are welcome here. To call the opinions of others “spam”, or “ridiculous” or those supporting the opinions of others “spineless”, betrays a strange state of mind, one which is inclined to discourage discussion and debate.
This people mentioned above are commenting in a foreign language and are to be commended and encouraged.
You’re wrong, +iaing but I won’t sink to the level of replying to a comment full of insults and unwarranted personal attacks.
Kudos to those who upvoted them, btw
I can write in French. But i started a thread in English. Is that allowed or are only people who speak French allowed to have an opinion on French politics? You are a fool. I bet you don’t go around saying this to the destitute immigrants from Africa and the middle east who camped at Calais.
