[RECURRING BUG] Issues of missing parts in transcriptions of AUDIO files

Hello guys!!

It’s something boring me (and I believe my colleagues) about audio importations in LingQ: almost every lesson generated with .mp3 audio files have missed chunks. The transcription doesn’t follow the original audio, independently of the great quality of the podcast.

You need to fix this quickly. It is not the first complaint about this.

Follow one more lesson wrong.

Thanks, we will do our best to have this improved asap.

Something new about this??

@DJFill I will check with our team what is the status here.

I had this issue even couple of months back in German and that’s why I stopped using this feature cuz it was ridiculous at that point

This is so upsetting @kadirkaratas . Unfortunately is really noticeable that they don’t care about us and our issues. They don’t treat and fix this with urgency and precision that is necessary. Here, everything looks like a ground without owner!

@zoran , What is the status?

I had the issue with this video:

I use step by step guide :

Parts of transcription are missing and then 30/60 seconds later it goes on normally.

No updates here yet, I’ll let you know as soon as I have more information.

Adding to this:

I am seeing missing text at the end of an imported Audio Transcription lesson. The mp3 file is 11 minutes long and I have text in the lesson that has been transcribed up until around 8m30s. I used the following command on Mac OS to export the audio from YT: yt-dlp -x --audio-format m4a https://www.youtube.com/watch\?v\=_19TAMoad_8
