So I’ve been reading the mini stories for Japanese language for a few days, but not listening. Today I decided to try the listening. First story (1A), first line, and it should say “roku-ji” as part of the sentence and it clearly doesn’t, it mumbles something else. I confirmed it with a Japanese native speaker. So… ? Not sure if its worth continuing with the listening part of the mini stories at all, unless I’m missing something. Need I change the voice, or…? Bewildered that this would crop up in the very first mini story and first line. Thanks.
first story(1A) の1ページ目を見ました。
日本人として、違和感を感じる発音があります。
rokuji を rikushi と発音。誤りです。
syokuji を syukushi と誤った発音。
この時点で、続けて聞く意欲を失いました。
頑張って1Cまで聞いたが、残念ながらこの読み方では、日本ではコミュニケーションができない程度の、無惨なまでの読み方(発音ではない)です。
Thank you @yoshitat . I listened to 1B and I thought it was a bit better. Maybe not? In any case, I have to say, this is pretty disappointing. I understand that there could be errors when people bring in audio and texts from outside sources. But this is the very first unit of the Japanese ministories, produced by LingQ, an expensive paid app, and this section being the core first component of starting Japanese. And literally the first line of the first story with a huge error, and apparently in the next two there are more. I don’t get it. It would take a Japanese native speaker maybe an hour with a microphone to read them all perfectly and then forever they would be perfect.
