I have German selected as the language I’m learning in Lingq. I’m about to create a new lesson from a transcript and audio. My course is a private course in my German Lingq library. What are the implications of choosing some other language? What library will it be added to? What is the purpose of offering a selection during this import process?

The lesson will be added to the language choosen. If you choose a different language, the lesson will be imported there. Some of the users learn several languages and if they import a lesson, they may not do this for the language they have currently selected. (I don’t do this that way personally. I have two tabs for each of the two languages I am learning.) So a person may be currently studying French and between two lessons may decide to take a break and import lessons for Spanish, for example.
Does that imply I can pick a course from the selected language?
iirc yes. I mean, you can just give it a try. There should be a drop down menu for that, too.
