short story: 4 - Моя дочь - хорошая ученица

они стараются в школе и учатся на пятёрки.

Current translation: They study hard and do well in school.

I think that’s a bit confusing b/c школа is explicitly in the first clause.

I suggest: They study hard in school and learn very well.
