Problem with Japanese LingQs

I’m a total beginner with Japanese. My problem is, if I’m reading a text on Lingq.com some syllables, that belong together aren’t put together. So I do not get the right translation when I move onto this word with the courser. Sometimes I don’t know which syllables belong together and build a word. Has someone an idea how I can find out, what is a word and what translation it has.

The reason that the Japanese can tell where a word starts and ends is that words are written in kanji, with maybe a hiragana suffix. You need to create your lingqs from lessons written in kanji. Lessons written in hiragana will just make your brain hurt.

Looking at the romaji (QWERTY) version, if there is one, will help. But lingQ from kanji or the dictionary look-ups won’t work.
