From past few days everything I try to import on LingQ doesn’t work. Please let me know how can I fix this error. It will be really appreciated.

Is it really necessary to open a new thread for an issue that already has two threads among the top 10 newest threads (which already is one too much)?

Is it really necessary to have a product which we paid for not work properly?

  1. Both points stand in no relation to each other.
  2. Having unneccessarely many threads makes it harder for the users to navigate the forum or to find information and past discussions. Do you consider the users to be responsible for the technical issues so they deserve punishment?
  3. Having several threads regarding the same issue makes it more likely that the LingQ team will overlook information provided by the users that might prove useful for resolving the issue. The result is that it takes longer for the product to work properly again causing additional frustration for the users including you, me and the creator of this thread.

  1. But they do. This is a paid application. We paid for story in importation. Therefore, every day that LingQ doesn’t fix their application is a day for which we paid but are not provided the service. Ergo, LingQ is technically stealing from us (unless they will add the equivalent number of days to every members subscription). Because LingQ odd stealing from us, anything we do to acquire that which we’ve already been guaranteed is fair game.
  2. Obviously the users aren’t responsible. That’s why we use the search bar.
  3. If the moderators overlook any thread then they are not doing their job properly. It doesn’t matter what the thread says or even if it’s filled with vulgarity. It is literally the responsibility of the moderators to check it. Similarly, it is the responsibility of LingQ to provide us with the thing for which we paid.

It appears that you haven’t read my previous post carefully. I asked for forum etiquette. How this relates to anything you write is beyond me. And claiming that a technical issue in a software service equals to stealing is plain wrong. At best you could claim that they aren’t fulfilling their contract.

My priority is to get the service back to working normally as fast as possible. What about you?

People are spamming the forum with more and more posts, opening new threads, wanting to spam the developers with emails, and so one. On one side they claim that they want the service to get back to normal as soon as possible on the other side they seem to be motivated to do anything possible to hinder that process, just because they think it is their right to do so.

I can’t hinder them or you to do so. But the longer it takes the more enraged you will become, while I just lean back and whistle, enjoying the show.

Have a nice day.

It appears that you haven’t either. Your initial post did not respectfully as for forum etiquette; it snidely attacked the original poster for his/her post. I’m sorry that it’s beyond you. I try to treat others like they’re my equals but if you’d like me to, I can simplify my language. You’re right about that; it’s not stealing. Fraud would be more accurate. Unintentional fraud maybe? Making a guarantee for something which they could not deliver. I’m not sure. I’m no lawyer.

Nice how you tried to smoothly change the subject there. Yes, the search bar does solve the problem.
Of course, that’s my priority as well, and also, 1+1=2.

Last I checked, public relations was a completely different part of a company than programming. But hey, if you feel better about yourself by pretending your actions make a difference, then all the power to you. Keep it up!

It’s interesting how you think I’m enraged. Perhaps we have an example of projection? Whatever the case, I hope you also have a nice day.
