Problem importing persian text

Hi! I’ve uploaded a lesson in Farsi, but the word order appears incorrect on the lesson page. When I click “Edit Sentence,” the sentence shows up correctly, but in the main view the word order is scrambled.
The original text is in the correct order, and I’ve double-checked the language is set to Farsi.
Is there a way to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

Do you have an issue with one specific lesson only? If so, can you please share lesson URL (you can send it to support@lingq.com)?

Hello ,

I am writing again regarding an ongoing issue in Persian (Farsi) lessons.

The word order in the normal lesson view continues to be reversed, even though it appears correctly in the “Edit Sentence” mode. I have already tested this issue on multiple browsers, including Firefox and Safari on macOS, and the problem persists in all of them.

This makes it very difficult to study Persian lessons properly, as the sentences are not readable in the intended order. The issue appears to be related to the rendering of RTL (right-to-left) text in the lesson view.

Thank you very much for your support.

I’m not sure if this will be helpful, but on Android, I can see the words in the correct order.

Same issue here?

Hello @Lauraaaaa Could you please help me to reproduce the problem. To be honest, I’m not good at Farsi. Looks like it is correct, right? Maybe I’m looking at a wrong place? Could you please add a screenshot where you are encountering the issue. Thank you in advance.

Here an example, the second one is the edit version and it is correct.

I’ve tested on Linux on Firefox 143*, none of the RTL languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Urdu) are displaying incorrectly when I copy and paste text into the import.

*Just updated to 144, and it seems ok too.

@Lauraaaaa It should be fine now. Could you please confirm? :hibiscus:

Yes! I had also been having issues importing podcast transcripts in PDF format, but now it works fine. Many thanks!
