If you have the ID of someone’s lesson, you are able to view the contents of that lesson regardless if its labeled as private or not. This problem is further exacerbated by the sequential IDs.
I have uploaded a public domain book to drive home the point.
You can see that the lesson is set to private.

It takes little effort to find the remaining lessons.
I, like many others, have uploaded an obscene amount of copyright protected material. I have never set these courses / lessons to anything other than private. I do NOT approve of any of them being shared with others.
Based on my understanding of the Terms of Service, LingQ Languages Ltd would be considered liable for any copyright protected material that was being shared without the uploader’s consent. I am obviously not a lawyer, but I don’t like my private lessons being shared.
