I would really love it if LingQ had an option to print a lesson with the LingQs for that particular lesson in one click or so.
Currently, the only way to do so is to print a lesson, save it as pdf and then going to the “vocabulary” part of the website, and then going through filters, select that particular lesson title, and then save those LingQs as PDF as well and merge both pages then print them as a single page/file which takes a while
Even better would be if for languages with different transcripts, such as Chinese and Japanese, you could also have a practice grid next to the LingQs you are learning in that particular lesson
Now that LingQ is implementing some AI features, maybe that would be feasible in the near future? Thanks!
I’m not sure, if I understood the full request, but there already is a function to filter the lingqs of any lesson in the vocabulary section and print the list.
What you are asking kind of already exists in the “vocabulary” section; you just have to select the lesson and it will show the words + the sentence where they were seen
but I understand your point, you would like it for it to show at the end of the lesson itself instead of having to go all the way to vocabulary and type in the title of the lesson in order to have the vocab list, which is somewhat my point as well.
by doing so I have to go all the way to the vocab section and then type the lesson title (some times I don’t recall it so I have to leave the vocab page to find the title and go back) and it only gives me the option to print the vocab, not the full lesson+vocab which would be much better and easier.
The functionality basically already exists, what they have to do now is merge lesson print+vocab print and make it accessible at the end of the lesson instead of having to go to the vocab section of the website.
Ah, now I got it. I’m not sure how many users actually print the lessons, so I’m not sure if this particular optimization is a priority for the LingQ team. But there is a way to reach the vocabulary list a bit faster (in the web version). You’d still have to print both documents seperately and the vocabulary list would be ordered from A-Z, by status or by creation date, but still it does not take that much effort.
Within a lesson, there is the vocabulary picture in the lower right corner. When you hover over that one, you click on “Manage LingQs”. It now shows all lingQs fom that lesson from A-Z. (With the filter you can exlude e.g. known words and learned words or change the order of words)
Put a check mark next to “TERM” and click “More Actions” and “Print”.
