When you click on a word and get the dialog box, it sometimes just keeps spinning in the popular meanings field. It is possibly happening when there is no meaning in the database for that word. It seems to be the ai going into the void searching in vain for a meaning. It happens even when ‘Show contextual meanings’ is set to off in your settings.
It’s better now, but should it show the ai contextual meaning when ‘Show contextual meanings’ is set to off?
Can you please let me know if you still have the same problem now?
It’s better now, but I still think when you have ‘Show contextual meanings’ set to off and there are no meanings in the database then it should just be left blank for you to input something.
@bobivan I’ll look into that, thanks.
The pop up word meaning dialogs under iOS are now a mess. It sometimes takes ages for the dialog to appear, then when it does it just shows the AI meaning. Trying to get the list of meanings is often very very difficult. It’s okay just after opening a video, but not after listening to a video for 10 minutes or more. Then switching from video to line mode can take a minute, or just crash the app. It’s all functionality that used to work.
